Brian Acton was born in February 1972 is known as a software engineer. In the mid of 2009, Brian was an unrecognized as well as an unemployed engineer. Although he had experience of many years for working at Yahoo and Apple computer, no one was interested in hiring him for their company including Facebook and Twitter. After getting a “NO” from every company Brian decided to team up with Jan Koum and start his own company named it as “Whatsapp” which sounded like ‘What’s up’. The application has dominated the world so excellently that it has succeeded to be a part of more than one billion smartphones living in over 180 and has successfully become a part of our daily life. About which Brian Acton on starting the application said
“Facebook turned me down. It was a great opportunity to connect with some fantastic people. Looking forward to life’s next adventure.”
And that next adventure, fortunately, became his best adventure of life.
- The Man Vs Wild- Bear Grylls
Edward Michael Bear Grylls was born on 7th of January 1974 and is known as a writer and a television wildlife presenter. Grylls in 1996, faced an accident during free-fall parachuting in Zambia. The canopy of his parachute stuck 16,000 ft which caused him to fall and land on his parachute bag which crushed his 3 vertebrae. The surgeons said that “he came within a whisker” and there were great chances of him being paralyzed for life and it was a big question that whether he would be able to walk again or not. But Grylls, due to his determination and hard work succeeded to make his childhood dream of climbing Mount Everest came true just after 18 months of the accident. At 23, Bear Grylls was among the youngest people who have succeeded in achieving this height. His story is no doubt a motivation for all of us.
The Disney Animator- Walt Disney
Walt Disney who is an American animator, voice producer, as well as a film director, was born on 5 December 1901. In 1919, he was kicked out by a newspaper editor because the editor thought that Walt “lacked imagination and had no good ideas” . Later, the same person who was supposed to have lack of ideas stepped in the cartooning business and introduced two of the best cartoon characters Oswald- the lucky rabbit and Mickey Mouse. And today you will hardly find a person who is not aware of “Disney”. Walt Disney decided to fight against all the odds and that’s how his struggle pays him.
